Platform-Overview:FTP-XML

From PageLime Documentation

Pagelime FTP-XML

Pagelime FTP-XML allows users to separate their content from their HTML. Enabling FTP-XML creates an XML file structure via FTP that mirrors the current HTML site map. These files are then accessible to users via FTP and the web. Pagelime FTP-XML creates a new XML file and HTML file every time a page is published via Pagelime.

1 Activating FTP-XML

FTP-XML is activated within the "Advanced" tab on the "Site-Settings" page, accessible via the admin area of your site dashboard.

  1. In Pagelime, open a site you wish to have FTP-XML enabled.
  2. Click "site settings" (little yellow drill icon) from the page dashboard or under the word "Administration" on the right side of the page.
  3. Visit the "Advanced" tab (little lightning bolt).
  4. Under "FTP Publishing Method" on the right side, select FTP-XML from the dropdown.
  5. Unless you know a specific port you need to use, leave the other settings alone.
